45's addition to the Suncoast Tennis League

Following the two season trial allowing players aged 45 and over to participate in the 50’s Division, the Suncoast Tennis League Board agreed, at it’s March 2023 meeting, to make the change permanent, renaming the division the 45’s.

During the trial, 23 players between the age of 45 and 50 joined Suncoast Tennis League.

The Board considered this a significant number of players who helped to encourage participation in the 50’s Division with an increased number of teams in the 2022-23 season.

It is hoped that lowering the minimum age to play in the League’s lowest age division will further encourage participation in what is the feeder division to the older age groups.
